  • High density plates manufactured by hot pressing. Largely used in power transformers, as cylinders or mechanical strength supports, as axial and radial spacers. Can also be laminated for reaching plates of thicknesses from 8mm until 300mm.

  • These are the HD plates laminated using Casein Glue (HDLC) or Polyester (HDLP). Applied in power transformers in regions where thicnesses above 8mm are required, such as pressing rings and winding support tables.

  • High density plates manufactured by calendering process. They are a little more flexible than the HD (hot pressed). Used in applications similar to the HD.

  • Medium density plates, much more flexible and moldable. They are also called “moldable” plates, used for building cylinders and parts of lower mechanical strength. This material is also applied as hydraulic paper, for sealing applications.

  • IEC 641 – P2.1
  • Calendered papers of high density. Mechanically stronger than the medium density are used, for example, for capacitors.

  • Calendered papers of medium density. These are the cellulosic material most used for the insulation of transformers of every voltage and power. Applied in several different regions of the transformers, from the cable insulation (wrapping the conductors), barriers etc.

  • Calendered papers of high density having a coating of B-stage resin (epoxy-phenolyc resin not completely cured) following a diamond pattern. DDP means diamond dotted paper. The resin coating promotes the adherence between paper layers and between the paper and other materials during the oven dry process, increasing the final mechanical strength.

  • Calendered presspan paper of low density, despite keeping high electrical strength. They are used mainly for cables insulation (wrapping).
    Crepe Papers
  • Calendered presspan paper of low density, despite keeping high electrical strength, which are submitted to a process of “creping”. Basically they are strongly stretched, reaching a final aspect (after released) very rugged. Its main advantage is the longitudinal elongation and conformability, keeping very good adherence to the surface when wrapping non cylindrical geometries.
    Micro Crepe Papers
  • The micro crepe papers are crepe papers which have one more pass in the calendaring equipment after creped. By this way they have a smooth surface and a very good elongation in the machine direction. Its main advantage is also the longitudinal elongation and conformability, keeping very good adherence to the surface when wrapping non cylindrical geometries.

  • Used essentially as pressure ring for large power transformers, where the single direction construction is kept tangential to the circle. It results in a very good mechanical strength for applications where the “donut” format is required. Reduces the scrapping of material when cutting a ring from a square plate and have superior mechanical strength.

  • Used essentially as pressure ring for large power transformers, where the single direction construction is kept tangential to the circle and the pressing level is higher. It results in a superior mechanical strength for applications where the “donut” format is required. Reduces the scrapping of material when cutting a ring from a square plate and have superior mechanical strength.

    Machined components

    Using as raw material the very high quality insulating material of its portfólio, Isoletri converts and machines parts and components according the design of its customers, applying the years of experience for supporting the material selection and offering solutions read for application in the production line of our customers, according the “insulation kit” concept. For example:
    • Supplying the insulation cylinders read, having the strips glued and the axial spacers already inserted in the strips.
    • Spacers cutted in the shape of the core steps “stairway” supporting every package, produced in regular wood, densified wood, laminated pressboard or even fiberglass.
    • Hand insulation of steel tie rods and bars, both as solid insulation or building concentric cylinders.
    • Tables and winding supports in a single piece or segmented, using as raw material the densifeid Wood or the options of laminated pressboard (HDLC or HDLP).

    Tables, rings, winding supports or pressing segments for windings of power transformers
  • Machined parts from desified Wood or pressboard HDLP / HDLC used as the lower support for the windings or as pressure rings at the top of the windings. They can be manufactured in a single ring or as segments of a circle, glued and using fixing pins.
    Insulation Cylinders
  • Pressboard plates already formed in a cylindrical shape, used for insulation between the windings in transformers and reactors. Supplied ready to be used in the winding shop.
    Insulation Cylinders with Strips
  • Pressboard plates already formed in a cylindrical shape and having the required quantity and spacing of strips glued in internal and / or external side. Used for insulation between the windings in transformers and reactors.
    Radial spacers
  • Spacers for the axial support between discs of a winding. Machined according specific drawing and geometry, having no sharp edges or burrs.

  • Pressboard plates already formed in a cylindrical shape and having the required quantity and spacing of strips glued in internal and / or external side and with the radial spacers already assembled in the strips.     Core support spacers or core “filling” or “stairway” spacer
  • Parts machined according design, responsible for supporting each package of core sheets in a core of a transformer. Produced using cellulosic materials (sometimes with fiber glass inserts – G10 / HGW) or completely in fiber glass composites (EPX-E).
    Insulation of tie rods and copper bars
  • Using Kraft, crepe or microcrepe papers, having or not axial strips, Isoletri builds the insulation layers according design.
